ABOUT US

The Undergraduate Economics Society (UES) is a student-run group dedicated to fostering an interest in Economics as an academic subject to the wider student body and the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty within UCLA’s Economics Department. The organization draws passionate undergraduate students in their goals to uncover unique applications of economic thought.

This year, UES will focus on hosting programs for mentorship from upperclassmen, academic paper and general interest economics book reading cohorts, technical workshops in working with data in R/Python, and opportunities to hone writing skills about economics in the UCLA Econ department newsletter and the Bruin Economics Journal. All students interested in economics are welcome to be a part of UES and become a part of the discussion about the vast and interesting field of economics!
